My name is Anka and was born in 1969 in Stralsund. Today I live in the vicinity of Rostock and I have two adult daughters.

In the year of 1993 I had a serious accident and after that I started painting. The very first time it was only a private activity to overcome the sadness of being constrained to my bed. Later on painting became my passion. I had good luck to be a Master´s apprentice of Pomeranian painter Mr. Eckhard Buchholz from 2002 until 2005 who lives in Stralsund. I was educated in different kind of painting techniques, the use of colours, painting with fingers and with palette knifes. I have so much thanks to express to him.
For me painting was at any time an opportunity to get my thoughts, my feelings and my frame of mind out of the system to realize my emotions in form of a picture. Most of all I like to work with colours, to experiment with different painting and drawing techniques, to meet the challenges of detailed painting in the same manner as painting in phantasm. I like the colours because I can feel them. Already when I am starting to temper the colours I start to
live in my own universe.......
